Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Marrakech — Medina

    Morning

    Place Jemaa el-Fna

Plunge into the Marrakech medina: souks of spices, leather, copper, and textiles. The sensory overload is part of the magic.

    Afternoon

    Souks de la Médina

Visit the Bahia Palace (19th-century masterpiece of Islamic art) and the Saadian Tombs. Then Jardin Majorelle (Yves Saint Laurent's garden).

    Evening

    Dîner sur terrasse de riad

Jemaa el-Fna square transforms at sunset: food stalls, musicians, storytellers, snake charmers. The greatest open-air show in the world.

  2. Day 2

    Atlas Mountains & Ait Benhaddou

    Morning

    Palais de la Bahia

Drive over the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) through the High Atlas Mountains. Berber villages, terraced valleys, snow-capped peaks.

    Afternoon

    Jardin Majorelle

Visit Aït Benhaddou (UNESCO), the most famous ksar in Morocco. This fortified village has starred in Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and Lawrence of Arabia.

    Evening

    Jemaa el-Fna de nuit

Return to Marrakech or continue to the desert. Dinner on a riad rooftop — tagine, couscous, and pastilla under the stars.

  3. Day 3

    Sahara Desert — Merzouga

    Morning

    Tombeaux Saadiens

Drive to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes (some reaching 150 m). The transition from mountains to desert is dramatic and beautiful.

    Afternoon

    Atelier de poterie & zellige

Camel trek into the Sahara to your desert camp. Ride through golden dunes as the sun descends — a scene from a dream.

    Evening

    Hammam traditionnel

Night in a Berber desert camp: traditional music around the fire, stargazing in one of the darkest skies on Earth, sleeping in tents among the dunes.

  4. Day 4

    Fes — Spiritual Capital

    Morning

    Route vers l'Atlas

Explore the Fes el-Bali medina (UNESCO), the largest car-free urban area in the world. 9,000 alleys, medieval architecture, the oldest university on Earth (Al Quaraouiyine, 859 AD).

    Afternoon

    Cascades de Setti Fatma

Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa (masterpiece of Marinid architecture), the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts, and the royal palace gates (Dar el-Makhzen).

    Evening

    Retour & Café Arabe

Rooftop dinner overlooking the medina. Fes cuisine is considered Morocco's finest: pastilla (pigeon pie), harira soup, and fassi tagine.
