Day 1 Alfama & Fado
Morning Château São Jorge
Take the iconic Tram 28 to São Jorge Castle. Wander through the narrow alleys of Alfama, the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon, where laundry hangs from windows and fado echoes from the taverns.
Afternoon Quartier de l'Alfama
Explore the Feira da Ladra flea market (Tuesdays and Saturdays) then walk down to the Panteão Nacional. Stop at the Miradouro de Santa Luzia for a breathtaking view of the Tagus.
Evening Soirée Fado à l'Alfama
Book a fado dinner in an authentic Alfama house. Mesa de Frades (upscale) or Tasca do Chico (popular and affordable) for an emotional and unforgettable evening.
Day 2 Belém & Discoveries
Morning Tour de Belém & Monastère des Hiéronymites
Visit the Jerónimos Monastery (UNESCO), a masterpiece of Manueline architecture. The sculpted cloisters are among the most beautiful in Europe.
Afternoon Pastéis de Belém & MAAT
Walk along the Tagus from the Tower of Belém to the MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology). The Padrão dos Descobrimentos offers a panoramic terrace overlooking the river.
Evening Bairro Alto & vie nocturne
Cross the river by ferry to Cacilhas for a seafood dinner at Ponto Final (terrace on the Tagus) or Atira-te ao Rio. Sunset view of Lisbon from across the river.
Day 3 Baixa, Chiado & Azulejos
Morning Musée National de l'Azulejo
Visit the National Azulejo Museum (unique in the world!) in the former Madre de Deus convent. 5 centuries of Portuguese tile art, from geometric Moorish patterns to contemporary works.
Afternoon Baixa & Elevador de Santa Justa
Explore Baixa and Chiado on foot: Santa Justa Elevator (Eiffel-designed), Livraria Bertrand (world's oldest bookshop, 1732), Rua Augusta and Praça do Comércio.
Evening Chiado & dîner d'adieu
End at the Miradouro da Graça or Senhora do Monte (less touristy) for sunset over the city. Then dinner in the trendy Príncipe Real neighborhood.
