Day 1 Alfama & Fado
Morning Arrivée à Lisbonne & installation à l'Alfama
Arrive in Lisbon by plane (Humberto Delgado Airport, LIS, 7 km from the center) or by train (Oriente / Santa Apolónia stations). From the airport, the red metro line reaches the center in 25 min (€1.80), the Aerobus runs directly to Restauradores and Cais do Sodré (€4). A taxi runs €12-18. Check into your hotel in Alfama or Baixa, drop off your luggage and enjoy a bica (Portuguese espresso) on an azulejo-tiled square before the afternoon.
Afternoon Château São Jorge & quartier de l'Alfama
Head to Castelo de São Jorge, an 11th-century Moorish fortress towering over Lisbon. From the ramparts, the 360° view covers the Tagus, the 25 April Bridge and Alfama's red-tiled rooftops. The archaeological site reveals Phoenician and Roman remains. Then walk down through Alfama's medieval alleys, the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon, spared by the 1755 earthquake. Blue azulejos on every façade, laundry hanging from balconies, and stops at the Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol viewpoints for spectacular views.

Book a fado dinner in an authentic Alfama house. Mesa de Frades (upscale) or Tasca do Chico (popular and affordable) for an emotional and unforgettable evening.
Day 2 Belém & Discoveries
Morning Tour de Belém & Monastère des Hiéronymites
Visit the Jerónimos Monastery (UNESCO), a masterpiece of Manueline architecture. The sculpted cloisters are among the most beautiful in Europe.
Afternoon Pastéis de Belém & MAAT
Walk along the Tagus from the Tower of Belém to the MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology). The Padrão dos Descobrimentos offers a panoramic terrace overlooking the river.
Evening Bairro Alto & vie nocturne
Cross the river by ferry to Cacilhas for a seafood dinner at Ponto Final (terrace on the Tagus) or Atira-te ao Rio. Sunset view of Lisbon from across the river.
Day 3 Baixa, Chiado & Azulejos
Morning Musée National de l'Azulejo
Visit the National Azulejo Museum (unique in the world!) in the former Madre de Deus convent. 5 centuries of Portuguese tile art, from geometric Moorish patterns to contemporary works.
Afternoon Baixa & Elevador de Santa Justa
Explore Baixa and Chiado on foot: Santa Justa Elevator (Eiffel-designed), Livraria Bertrand (world's oldest bookshop, 1732), Rua Augusta and Praça do Comércio.
Evening Transfert vers Humberto Delgado & vol retour
Head to Humberto Delgado International Airport (LIS), just 7 km from the center. The red metro line connects Baixa-Chiado to the airport in 25 min (€1.80) - the cheapest option. The Aerobus from Cais do Sodré or Restauradores takes 30 min (€4). A taxi runs €12-18 and takes 15-25 min depending on traffic. For an international or domestic train departure, Oriente Station is the main stop - 18 min by metro from Baixa. Adeus Lisboa - fado follows you home.
