Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

Arrival in Reykjavik & Nordic immersion

    Morning

    Arrival at Keflavík

Land at Keflavík International Airport. The soft, endless Icelandic summer light envelops you from the moment you step outside. Transfer to Reykjavik (45 min) through moss-covered lava fields. The pure, crisp air heralds a week of total rejuvenation.

    Afternoon

    Meditative stroll on Laugavegur

Gentle walk along Laugavegur, Reykjavik's main street. Icelandic design shops, galleries, cozy cafés. The atmosphere is calm, the colorful houses soothing. Stop at Hallgrímskirkja to admire the panoramic view from the tower — a contemplative moment facing the mountains and the bay.

    Evening

    Geothermal bath at Sundhollin

First Icelandic hot bath at Sundhollin, Reykjavik's oldest public pool (1937). Indoor and outdoor pools naturally heated by geothermal energy. Here, Icelanders come to relax and socialize — it's a daily ritual, not a luxury. The beginning of your immersion into Nordic thermal culture.

  2. Day 2

Golden Circle & secret hot spring

    Morning

Þingvellir — between two tectonic plates

Early departure to Þingvellir National Park (40 min). Walk literally between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The Almannagjá rift, lined with lava cliffs, is a place of rare telluric power. This is where the world's oldest parliament was founded in 930. Raw nature and silence invite contemplation.

    Afternoon

Geysir & Gullfoss — power of the elements

Head to the Geysir geothermal area. Strokkur erupts every 5-10 minutes, shooting boiling water 30 meters high — a reminder of the volcanic power beneath your feet. Then continue to Gullfoss, the 'golden waterfall'. This two-tiered waterfall, surrounded by mist and rainbows, is mesmerizingly beautiful. Spend a few minutes watching the raw power of water.

    Evening

    Secret Lagoon in Flúðir

Perfect end of day at the Secret Lagoon in Flúðir, Iceland's oldest natural pool (1891). Water at 38-40°C in a natural basin surrounded by steam, moss and small geysers. Far less touristy than the Blue Lagoon and much more authentic. Let the geothermal warmth dissolve the day's tensions as steam rises into the evening sky.

  3. Day 3

South Coast — waterfalls & wild hot spring

    Morning

    Seljalandsfoss & Skógafoss

Drive to the south coast. First stop at Seljalandsfoss, unique in its kind: a trail lets you walk behind the 60-meter water curtain. The experience is immersive, the sound deafening, the mist revitalizing. Then Skógafoss, even more massive, with its permanent rainbow in good weather. Climb the 527 steps for a plunging view and a moment of solitude.

    Afternoon

Seljavallalaug — hidden natural hot spring

A 20-minute walk through a narrow valley to reach Seljavallalaug, one of Iceland's oldest pools (1923), nestled at the foot of a mountain. A 25-meter pool fed by a natural hot spring, open to the sky. No infrastructure, no ticket booth — just you, the hot water and the valley's silence. A moment of pure connection with Icelandic nature.

    Evening

Night in Vík & black sand beach

Settle in Vík, Iceland's southernmost village. In the late afternoon, walk on Reynisfjara, the famous volcanic black sand beach. The hexagonal basalt columns, powerful Atlantic waves and Reynisdrangar rock stacks create a landscape of raw, meditative beauty. The ocean's roar is natural sound therapy.

  4. Day 4

Canyon & hot springs of Landmannalaugar

    Morning

    Fjaðrárgljúfur — the mystical canyon

Depart from Vík towards Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon (30 min). This 100-meter-deep canyon, carved by water over 9,000 years, is a geological masterpiece. The trail follows the edge, offering plunging views of the turquoise river below. The emerald-green moss lining the walls gives the impression of a preserved prehistoric world.

    Afternoon

Drive to Landmannalaugar — rhyolite mountains

Spectacular drive to the Landmannalaugar highlands (2-3h depending on conditions). The landscape gradually transforms: black lava plains give way to rhyolite mountains in surreal colors — pink, orange, olive green, violet. These rainbow mountains are among the world's most unique geological formations. Light hike on the Laugahraun trail through lava and obsidian fields.

    Evening

    Natural geothermal bath at Landmannalaugar

The highlight of the day: Landmannalaugar's natural hot spring. A geothermally heated stream merges with a cold stream, creating a natural pool at the perfect temperature. You're surrounded by colorful mountains, with nothing but sky above. This is Iceland's purest thermal experience — free, wild, unforgettable.

  5. Day 5

    Snæfellsnes Peninsula — volcanic energy

    Morning

    Drive to Snæfellsnes & Kirkjufell

Long scenic drive to the Snæfellsnes peninsula (3-4h from the highlands, or 2h from Reykjavik). Arrive before Kirkjufell, Iceland's most photographed mountain. Its perfect conical shape, surrounded by waterfalls, is hypnotic. Take time to sit and absorb this energy — Jules Verne placed the entrance to the center of the Earth at the nearby Snæfellsjökull glacier.

    Afternoon

    Djúpalónssandur beach & Arnarstapi cliffs

Explore the wild coast of Snæfellsnes. The black pebble beach of Djúpalónssandur, scattered with shipwreck remains, is a place of reflection. Then coastal walk between Arnarstapi and Hellnar (2.5 km) along erosion-sculpted cliffs, natural arches and sea caves. The crashing waves and seabird cries compose a soothing natural symphony.

    Evening

Landbrotalaug — secret micro hot spring

Detour to Landbrotalaug, one of Iceland's smallest natural hot springs — a pool that fits 2-3 people maximum. Nestled in the middle of nowhere in a lava field, it's the most intimate thermal experience possible. The hot water, vast sky and absolute silence create a moment of spontaneous meditation. Wild Iceland in its purest form.

  6. Day 6

Return to Reykjavik & premium geothermal spa

    Morning

Hraunfossar & Barnafoss — lava waterfalls

On the way back, stop at Hraunfossar waterfalls. A unique phenomenon: dozens of water streams spring directly from a lava field over nearly a kilometer, forming a milky-blue water curtain. Right next to it, Barnafoss is more violent, turquoise water carving its way through black rocks. The contrast between one's gentleness and the other's force is striking.

    Afternoon

Sky Lagoon — exceptional geothermal spa

Arrive in Reykjavik and head to Sky Lagoon, the upscale geothermal spa opened in 2021. Its infinity pool facing the Atlantic Ocean is spectacular. The 7-step ritual (Skjól) combines hot bath, cold plunge, mist, Icelandic sea salt scrub, steam room and final soak. Two hours of pure surrender in an architectural setting inspired by Icelandic turf.

    Evening

    Nordic dinner at Grillið

Gourmet dinner at Grillið, a panoramic restaurant atop the Saga tower. New Nordic cuisine showcasing Icelandic products: wild-caught fish, free-range lamb, artisanal skyr. With 360° views over Reykjavik and surrounding mountains. After a week in Icelandic nature, this meal is a culinary celebration of the terroir you've explored.

  7. Day 7

Wellness & culture day in Reykjavik

    Morning

    Yoga & meditation at Laugardalur

Morning yoga session in Laugardalur park, Reykjavik's green lung. Several studios offer outdoor yoga classes in summer (Yoga Shala, Joga). After the session, stroll through the adjacent botanical garden — 5,000 plant species in a peaceful setting. The week's rejuvenating energy peaks in this morning of serenity.

    Afternoon

    Laugardalslaug geothermal pool

Reykjavik's largest geothermal pool, a true local institution. Olympic pool, hot pots at various temperatures (38-44°C), steam room, sauna and water slide. This is where Reykjavikers come every day — a social ritual as important as coffee in Italy. Live like a local by moving from pool to pool, enjoying the natural warmth of the earth.

    Evening

    Sunset at Grótta lighthouse

Last Icelandic evening at Grótta lighthouse, on Reykjavik's western tip. In summer, the midnight sun grazes the horizon without setting, bathing the landscape in surreal golden light for hours. Sit on the rocks, listen to the surf and let this week of rejuvenation crystallize into memory. There's also a natural geothermal foot bath right next to the lighthouse — one last gift from Iceland.

  8. Day 8

    Blue Lagoon & serene departure

    Morning

    Blue Lagoon — iconic bath

Head to the Blue Lagoon (45 min from Reykjavik, on the way to the airport). The world's most famous geothermal bath lives up to its reputation. The milky turquoise water, rich in silica and minerals, is 38-40°C. Silica mud and algae masks are included. Surrounded by black lava fields and steam, it's a perfect conclusion to your Icelandic retreat. The 'In-Water Massage' treatment is an extra luxury worth considering.

    Afternoon

Lava Restaurant & last Icelandic meal

Lunch at Lava Restaurant, integrated into the Blue Lagoon complex. The restaurant is built into the lava, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lagoon. Modern Icelandic cuisine: confit cod, highland lamb, skyr desserts. A final meal facing the surreal blue water before heading to the airport. Savor every bite — you're taking this island's serenity with you.

    Evening

    Transfer to Keflavík & departure

The Blue Lagoon is only 20 minutes from Keflavík Airport — ideal strategic location for the last day. Transfer to the airport and take off. You leave with relaxed shoulders, a peaceful mind and the memory of an island where the earth itself takes care of you. Iceland has given you the best it has: its inner warmth.
